On June 21, 2025, American Yacht Club hosted the YRALIS Queens Cup. Eight two-person, all-female teams signed for the one-design regatta, sailed in Ideal 18s. Sailors came from American, Indian Harbor, Larchmont, Norwalk, and Pequot Yacht Clubs.

The day proved challenging, but PRO Sheila Cameron managed to get 5 races off in light, fluky conditions. The team of Clemmie Everett and Jennifer McArdle won a tiebreak to come first in the regatta. The duo also won the regatta in 2024.

Clemmie Everett reflected on the day: “I think the race committee did a fantastic job of getting five high quality races into a day when there could easily have been none! The competition was very tight, as you can tell from the results — every single point made a difference. Jennie and I felt like we got off the starting line well and that we kept the boat moving through motor boat chop effectively. Jennie and I were teammates in college (though we didn't sail together), and though we went separate directions after college, it's been really fun to reconnect with her and sail the Queens Cup together for the past couple of years.”

Event Chair Tricia Alcamo said, “It's such a fun event to be a part of! I love that the competitors include women of all ages and sailing backgrounds... some have a decades-long connection to the regatta, with names of their mothers and grandmothers etched on the trophy, and others are new to the sport and might be racing in an Ideal for the first time. The spirit of camaraderie is part of the tradition and really makes it a highlight of the sailing season.”
